My walk today was dedicated in honor of :
Army National Guard Veteran LT. Colonel Donna Mae Young Roberts, Age 56 of Maryville, TN.
Died Mar. 10, 2000
She was born on April 18, 1943 in Akron, OH
She was a registered nurse at Blount Memorial Hospital for over 10 years, and she served as a lieutenant colonel in the Army National Guard. She was a graduate of Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee.
We had a great 10 mile walk today. I want to thank Robert Batz for walking with us today. I want to thank everyone that honked and waved in helping us honor this hero. It was great.
She will NOT be forgotten !
