Today my walk was dedicated in honor of:
Marine Veteran Homer Charles True, Age 77 of Spring City
Died July 14, 2018
He attended Spring City Elementary School and Spring City High School. Homer went on to enlist in the United States Marine Corp for 4 years with service in Cuba and Vietnam.
He was employed by the Tennessee Valley Authority as a Public Safety Officer and later served the town of Spring City as an officer on the Spring City Police Department. He also owned a Bait and Tackle Store in Spring City named the “Fishing Shack.”
Homer loved to hunt, fish, play golf and play Texas Hold ‘em.
We had a great walk this morning. I want to thank everyone who honked and waved in helping me honor this hero.
He will NOT be forgotten !
