My walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Navy Veteran Daryl Bunyea, Age 72 of Vero Beach, FL.
Died Mar 1, 2019
He served aboard the USS Shangri-La in 1969, and the USS Bonhemme Richard. He suffered a brain aneurysm at 31, and had 2 children and 2 step children
He retired from Mahopac School System, where he worked as a bus mechanic.
We had a great 5.81 Mile walk today. We stopped by the Boats & Harbor to see their big boat anchor and then we stopped down town at the War Memorial Park to visit with some Vietnam Veterans. We had an amazing walk. I want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero.
Navy Veteran Daryl Bunyea will not be forgotten !
