Today our walk was dedicated in honor of :
Army Veteran Jacob Dallas Blevins Jr, Age 65 of Bristol, TN.
Died Feb. 1, 2023
He was born July 22, 1957, in Abingdon, Va. Butch was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked as a Site Manager in the Refrigeration and HVAC industry. Butch was a member of New Grace Baptist Church and loved the Lord. He was a coach of his daughter’s, Jackie and Leann’s teams and his son, B.J.’s baseball team. He was also Den Leader for Cub Scouts, and well-known in Washington County, Virginia for umpiring baseball and softball. Butch was truly a good man, to know him was to love him.
He was a SGT in the Army and served from 1975 to 1983.

We had a great 6.93 Mile walk. We walked my Holiday Hills Lake and then Miller to Stanley Street. We made a stop at the War Memorial Park and read some names of our Fallen Brothers and then headed up 127. We turned by the bakery and then headed back towards the house. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 164 honks today. Thank you.
