Ryan graduated from Muskogee High School with the class of 2009. He then attended Colorado Technical University and studied criminal justice with his focus on homeland security. Ryan was serving with Company A, 4th Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 1 BCT at Fort Bliss, Texas. He loved his country and was proud to be able to serve.

He enjoyed playing video games and loved spending as much time as possible with his family. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors. Ryan was a proud father and loved spending time with his boys. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

We had a great 10.18 Mile walk this morning. We left around 4:30am and headed down Northside Drive so we could watch the sun rise. It was beautiful. We got to see two Hawk’s waking up to the sun. It was beautiful. We then headed to 127 and headed towards down town to the War Memorial Park. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero. We had 158 honks. It was amazing. Thank you !

Army SGT Ryan Gene Hogan will not be forgotten !
