Today our walk was dedicated in honor of:

Navy Veteran Stan Baber of Noblesville IN.
Died Feb. 24 2016

He enlisted in the Navy when he was 17 early fall of 1952. He did not graduate from high school. He was a strong strapping farm boy who was physically prepared for the military. He got his high school diploma while in the military. He was stationed state side for most of his tour. He did make it to Europe for a short period of time but did not see any war action.
He did not finish his last year of service as his daughter got very sick and he left to take care of his family.

Stan was my uncle and I always enjoyed hearing his stories that he told about his Navy experience.
His wife (My Aunt) passed away Sep. 11, 2015 , He is servived by three daughters, Tammy, Denise, Carla and a Son, Stanley Sherman Baber II

It was an honor to walk 8.27 Miles with my uncle Stan Baber today. Our first stop was at the Disabled American Veterans DAV Office on Sparta Drive. We then headed over to Miller Ave. and we made a stop in at the American Legion. We then headed back north on Main and made a stop in at the Veterans Memorial Park where we read some names of a few Fallen Brothers before heading back towards the house. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 373 honks today. It was amazing. Thank you.

Navy Veteran Stan Baber will not be forgotten !
