My walk this morning was dedicated in honor of Marine Cpl. Brad P. McCormick, 23 of Overton, TN. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Corps Reserve, Nashville, TN. He was killed Aug. 19, 2004 by enemy action in Anbar province, Iraq.
Brad joined the reserves while studying wildlife biology at Tennessee Tech and putting his tinkering skills to use with a part-time job at a hardware store. When he learned that his Marine unit would be sent to Iraq, he moved up his planned wedding to Courtney Curtis to Dec. 20, just a couple weeks before he reported for duty.
May he never be forgotten.
My walk went very well this morning. A little longer then what I thought I was going to walk. I made a record. I walked 14.67 miles this morning. I probably won’t be doing that a lot while we have the heat but as soon as it starts to cool off a little , expect that number to go up.
Got to meet a few people on my walk this morning and tell them about what I do. Please share my website. Let’s keep their memories alive.
