Today my walk was dedicated in honor of:
Marine PFC Dan S. Allen, Age 18 of Knoxville, TN.
KIA Aug. 21, 1966 Vietnam
PFC Allen is honored at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall on Panel 10E, Line 24
Dan is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Knoxville, Knox County,TN.
Served with Company G, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, Third Marine Amphibious Force.
PFC Allen was awarded: Purple Heart, National Defense, Vietnam Service, and Vietnam Campaign medals.
We had a great 5.80 Mile walk this morning. The weather was beautiful. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 112 honks. Thank you so much. It was amazing.
