Today my walk was dedicated in honor of:
Army Veteran Willie R Freeman Sr, Age 70 of Crossville, TN.
Died Jan. 10, 1994
Served in the U S Army in France and Germany during WWII. He served in the U S Army and TN National Guard, 28 years, retiring in 1971. He was such a great, caring person who always went out of his way to put his everyone he came into contact with first and himself last. His love for his country always shined through his lifetime. Married Katherine Hodgin in 1949. Lived on Bell Rd. Worked many years as a truck driver, several years at the bakery in Crossville, retired from TVA at Watts Bar and buried at City Cemetery in Crossville.
We had a great 7 mile walk. We walked to his grave in the Crossville City Cemetery. I want to thank everyone who honked and waved , it was amazing.
He will not be forgotten !
