Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Navy Veteran William Edward Fox Jr, Age 74 of Monterey, TN.
Died May 6, 2024
Mr. Fox was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on June 11, 1949.
Mr. Fox was a machinist working with George A. Mitchell Manufacturing Company for 32 years. He loved fishing, hunting, westerns, and going to the lake. He loved his family, loved children, and loved adopting foster children. He was Baptist in Faith. He was a United States Navy Vietnam Veteran serving 2 tours of duty.
We had a great 6.54 Mile walk. We started out by walking by Holiday Hills Lake and then we stopped by CCHS to see the Blue Angel Jet. We then made a stop at Boats & Harbors to see their big boat anchor. Before heading home we stopped in at the War Memorial Park where we read some names on the War Memorial Wall. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 181 honks this morning. Thank you.
