Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Navy Veteran James Bachie, Age 67 of Chino Valley, AZ
Died Jul. 6, 2020
Medic in Vietnam
He was a loving father, grandfather, and husband. My dad was very proud to have served his country in the navy and proudly displayed his Vietnam Veteran hat everywhere he went. He continued to help people after leaving the Navy with his hard work and dedication to social work and enriching people’s lives in Prescott Arizona and the surrounding areas. He had a wonderful sense of humor and kept his smile despite a lot of health challenges that he fought over the years. He was born in
Martins Ferry, Belmont, Ohio. He passed away in Chino Valley AZ.
We had a great 8.38 mile walk today. We walked by the Disabled American Veterans and then walked out to the American Legion and walked by Cumberland Medical Center and then we stopped over at the Boat’s & Harbors to see the big boat anchor in the window. We then stopped in at the War Memorial Park down town before heading home.
I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us today. I also want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero today. We had 174 honks. It was amazing. Thank You
Navy Veteran James Bachie will not be forgotten !
I want to wish my brother a Happy Birthday in Heaven !
Thank you Tim and Robert for walking today in honor of my father. This means so much to our family. Happy birthday in heaven Dad
