Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army Veteran PFC Joseph Gill, Age 60 of Silverwood, IN.
Died Jun. 25, 1980
PFC Gill served in World War II
He is buried in the Miller Cemetery in Lodi, Indiana
he was the son of Deverter and Grace Marie Judson Gill .He got married November 17 1949 in Nashville Tennessee to Valerie Jean Goodwin. Had 3 daughter, s Karen Doty , Joetta Winkler, and Alice Marie ( Daniel) Bushor
He was the first child of 4 boys . And all 4 served .
We had a great 8.45 Mile walk today. We walked by the City of Crossville Public Works and then walked out by the Post Office and headed north on 127. We walked out in the country and ended up back on Sparta Hwy. We got to see a few snow flakes falling. We had a great walk. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero. We had 177 honks. Thank you.
