Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army Veteran Richard Howard Beard, Age 93 of Crossville, TN.
Died June 12, 2024
PFC in the Army Corp of Engineers in Korea from 1952-1953.
Richard was a member of the masonic and Shriners, having made over 100 trips from Crossville, TN to Lexington, KY. transporting children to the Shriners Hospital there.
It was a great honor to walk 10.00 Miles with Army Veteran Richard Howard Beard. We started out by walking through the Gardens and then took Northside Drive over to 127 and we headed South. Our next stop was at the Burger King to take a quick break. We then continued South and our next stop was the Veterans Memorial Park. After spending a little time their we headed West on 4th street and walked by Holiday Hills Lake before reaching home. I want to thank my friend Bob for walking with us today. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero. We had 286 honks today. It was amazing. Thank you.
