Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army SSGT Fredis Velasquez, Age 25 of Gainesville, GA.
Died Jan.31, 2022 in Clarksville, TN.
Served with the 716th Military Police Battalion, 16th Military Police Brigade.
Awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed forces service Medal, Non Commissioned Officer Ribbon and the Overseas Service Ribbon.
We had a great 8.16 Mile walk today. We walked out Northside Drive and enjoyed our walk out in the country and then we walked back on Old Jamestown Highway and made a stop at the post office. Then before heading home we stopped at the Frost Cemetery and visited 3 of our fallen brothers. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero today. We had 286 honks. It was amazing. Thank you.
