Today my walk was dedicated in honor of:
Navy Seal SOC Brian Robert Bill, Age 31 of Stamford, CT.

Bill was assigned to an East Coast-based SEAL team and died in Wardak Province, Afghanistan of wounds suffered when the CH-47 Chinook helicopter in which he was riding was shot down. He was among 31 US Troops killed in Afghanistan that day.
Bill’s family said he wanted to return to graduate school after completing his military service and hoped to become an astronaut. He was also a mountaineer, a skier, a pilot and triathlete.
Bill enlisted in July 2001. He graduated from Naval Aviation Technical Training Command in Pensacola, Fla., in November 2001 and Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL Training in Coronado, Calif., in November 2002. He joined his East Coast-based SEAL team in June 2003.

We had a great 9.78 Mile walk today. We walked past Holiday Hills Lake and then walked Miller Bypass and made a stop by the American Legion to see the big boat anchor. We continued to the War Memorial Park down town and then we walked out to the Crossville City Cemetery to visit a couple fallen brothers. We then walked back to 127 and headed back home. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us today and I want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero today. We had 187 honks. Thank You.
Navy Seal SOC Brian Robert Bill will not be forgotten !
A special thanks to the Military Memorial Museum, Wyndridge, and Family Ties Restaurant for flying our beautiful colors.
