Today our walk was dedicated in honor of:
Army Veteran Henry Clarence Akin, Age 88 of Pikeville, TN.
Died Jun. 4, 2018
He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. He was retired from the Army and was a combat veteran of the Korean War. He taught building trades at the Bledsoe/ Sequatchie Vocational School.
We had a great 3.24 Mile walk this morning. We drove to Pikeville Tennessee to the Veterans Park and then we walked to Army Veteran Akin’s grave in the Pikeville City Cemetery. I want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this Hero. We had 6 honks. Thank you.
