Today our walk was dedicated in honor of:

Army PFC James R. Boland, Age 21 of West Orange, NJ.
KIA Feb. 24, 1966

Boland was drafted into the US Army on June 14, 1965 and received basic training at Fort Dix and Fort Sam Houston in Texas. Boland served in the US Army and attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC) with the 1st Infantry as a Medic.

After being in Vietnam for only two weeks, Boland was killed in action on February 24, 1966.

We had a great 5.92 Mile walk today. We walked up to the War Memorial Park down town and back. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero. We had 123 honks this morning. Thank You

Army PFC James R. Boland will not be forgotten !
