My walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army Capt. Sara M. Knutson, Age 27 of Eldersburg, MD.
KIA Mar. 11, 2013 Operation Enduring Freedom
She was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Hunter Army Airfield, Ga.
She was a BlakHawk pilot who was killed along with four other soldiers when their helicopter crashed during a storm in Afghanistan.
Sara decided to join the Army after Sep. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and attended West Point Academy.
She is buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Section 60.
We had a great 5.50 Mile walk today. We walked to the War Memorial Park down town and read some of the names of our Fallen Brothers on the wall. The sky was beautiful this morning. I want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero. We had 51 honks.
