My walk today was dedicated in honor of:

Marine PFC David Wayne Bazzle, Age 19 of West Cramerton, NC.
KIA Mar. 16, 1969 Vietnam

He had enlisted in the Marine Corps. Entered via Regular Military. Served during the Vietnam War. Start of tour or enlistment date was July 26, 1968.

Private First Class David Wayne Bazzle, Served with Combined Action Platoon 4-1-4 (CAP 4-1-4), Combined Action Company 4-1 (CACO 4-1), 4th Combined Action Group, Combined Action Program, Third Marine Amphibious Force.

He is honored at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall on Panel 29W, Line 51.
David is buried at Gaston Memorial Park Cemetery, Gastonia,NC.

He was listed as MIA when the compound was over run by a NVA sapper unit north of Dong Ha. His remains were found under the hut where a satchel charge had gone off.

We had a great 5.70 Mile walk today. We walked up to the War Memorial Park down town. I want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero.

Marine PFC David Wayne Bazzle will not be forgotten !
