Today my walk was dedicated in honor of :
Army CPL Stephen M. McGowan, Age 26 of Newark, DE.
KIA Mar. 4, 2005 Operation Iraqi Freedom
He was assigned to the 1st Infantry Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, Camp Hovey, Korea
McGowan died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq when an improvised explosive device detonated near his patrol.
We had a great 8.55 mile walk today. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us. The weather was perfect. I want to thank all who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. It was amazing.
