This morning my walk was dedicated in honor of Marine Lance Cpl. Lance M. Clark, Age 21 of Cookeville, TN.
He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, CA.
Died Sept. 7, 2007 of non-hostile incident in Al Anbar province, Iraq.
He graduated from Cookeville High School in 2004 and joined the U.S. Marines in April of 2005. He completed basic training at Parris Island, South Carolina, and had recently been stationed at Camp Pendleton in California, his mother said.
He had already completed one tour of duty in Iraq and was called back for a second tour in July, with plans to return to the U.S. in February.
Let us never forget him.
