My walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army SGT Joe Roberts Jr, Age 21 of New Albany, MS.
KIA Oct. 15, 1970 Vietnam
He Served with Company C, 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division.
He is honored at the Vietnam Veteran Memorial Wall on panel 6W, Line 2.
Joe is buried at Martin Cemetery, Union County,MS.
SGT Joe Roberts Jr was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star (Merit), Purple Heart, National Defense, Vietnam Service and Vietnam Campaign Medals.
My walk today was amazing. Walked a little different route today. The Fallen Heroes were with me today as I felt and seen the Flag move more then usual. I want to thank everyone that honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. You all are amazing, we had lots and lots of support today. More honks then normal. Today was day 21 on our 22 days in a row walk to bring awareness to Veteran Suicide.
