My walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army PFC Gerald D Anthony, Age 20 of Tullahoma, TN.
KIA May 2, 1969 Vietnam
He is honored at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall on Panel 26W, Line 96.
Gerald is buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Tullahoma,TN.
Died from injuries sustained from hostile attack using explosive device.
PFC Gerald D. Anthony was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, National Defence Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Served with the 2nd Platoon, H Troop, 17th Cavalry Regiment, 198th Infantry Brigade, Americal Division
We had a great walk and a great day today. I walked up town to the war memorial park and then I walked to the fairgrounds to the Rat Run On the Mountain event for the Meet the Superheroes. It was nice meeting all the people and honoring this hero. I want to thank everyone who waved and honked in helping me honor this hero.
He will not be forgotten !
