My walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army SGT William H. Palmer, Age 25 of Abbeville, AL.
KIA Sept. 25, 1968
He is honored at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall on Panel 42W, Line 13.
William is buried at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Abbeville, AL.
Served with 1st Logistical Command, 564th Transportation Plat.
He began his tour April 28, 1968, His specialty was Truckmaster
SGT Palmer received the Purple Heart, National Defense Service, Vietnam Campaign, Vietnam Service, Army Presidential Unit, Vietnam Gallantry Cross, Army Good Conduct, Medals.
We had a great walk today. I want to thank everyone who honked and waved in helping me honor this hero.
He will not be forgotten !
