My walk today was dedicated in honor of :
Marine LCPL Michael D. Scholl, Age 21 of Lincoln, NB.
KIA Nov. 14, 2006 during Operation Iraqi Freedom
Scholl, a 2002 Lincoln High School graduate, was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. He is buried in Vancouver, Wash., where his wife and daughter live.
Mountain Island Elementary School learned of Scholl’s death after sending him a Super Bowl care package. Scholl, 21, had requested food, chips and salsa.
After the school sent the package, it received a letter that Scholl had died from wounds he suffered while on combat operations in the Anbar province of Iraq.

Had a great 10 Mile walk today. I want to thank everyone who honked and waved in helping me honor this hero.
He will not be forgotten !
