My walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army PFC Roy Edwin Nealon, Age 32 of Hebbertsburg, TN
KIA May 12, 1944 during WWII during the battle at Hill 66
Roy was a hardworking young man and preferred sawmill work as his choice.
He was loved by all who knew him.
He was awarded the purple heart
His final resting place is at the National Cemetery in Knoxville,TN.
We had an amazing walk this morning. The weather was beautiful. We walked to the war memorials down town and read his name. I want to thank everyone that honked and waved in helping me honor this hero. It was amazing.
He will not be forgotten !
