Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:

Army Veteran Roderick Rayford Connally, Age 96 of Anderson, SC.
Died Nov. 27, 2021

Served during World War II and in the Korean War.

He was a Sargent First Class when he retired after 25 years of service. He was a part of the 82nd airborne, the 101st Cavalry, and the elite special forces.

It was a great honor to walk 6.32 miles with Army Veteran Roderick Rayford Connally. We started out walking by Holiday Hills Lake and headed towards town. We then walked by the fire station and then made a stop at the Veterans Memorial Park. After reading a few names on the memorial wall we then went by the train depot and then headed north. We then turned at Flowers Bakery and headed back towards the house. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero today. We had 186 honks. It was amazing. Thank you.

Army Veteran Roderick Rayford Connally will not be forgotten !
