Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:

Army Reserve SPC Daniel L. Elliott, Age 21 of Youngsville, NC.
KIA Jul. 15, 2011 during Operation New Dawn

SPC Elliott was assigned to the 290th Military Police Brigade, 200th Military Police Command, U.S. Army Reserve, Cary, N.C.

SPC Elliott is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

He died in Basra, Iraq, when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. He was survived by his mother; his father; his wife; his brother; his grandparents; his great-grandparents; an uncle; and cousins.

It was a great honor to walk 10.06 Miles with Army Reserve SPC Daniel L. Elliott. We headed west on Sparta Hwy and took Northside Drive. We got a quick view of the sunrise. It was beautiful. We walked Northside drive and made a right onto 127 and headed towards town. We made a stop at the Veterans Memorial Park and read some names of our Fallen Heroes. We then continued south and then headed back up West Ave. We then walked Sparta Drive and then headed back to the house. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 405 honks. It was amazing. Thank you.

Army Reserve SPC Daniel L. Elliott will not be forgotten !
