Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Marine/Army Veteran SSG Dustin Lee Parker Age 39 from Crossville, TN. Died Aug. 10, 2019
Dustin was a Cumberland County High School graduate. Served 6 1/2 years in the Marine Corps and 8 years in the Army. Dustin was also a Volunteer Firefighter 2004-2010.
Our walk today was a Special Walk to bring awareness to the 22 A Day !
Today we had a great 2.2 Mile walk with Dustin’s Family.
We walked with Dustin’s mother Donna, Brother Ricky, Sister Melanie, Aunt Beverly and Hattie, niece Lylaa, Daughter Alexis, Son-n-law Alex, Grandson Jensen
We walked up main street to Flowers Bakery and back to the Veterans Memorial Park. Perfect weather for our walk. We had an amazing 337 honks. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted. It was great to meet Dustin’s family and getting to spend some time honoring him.
This awareness walk is being walked across the United States. We have people walking in 36 States. I will be sharing a link to the video that I will be making of all the walks once I have received them all.
