My walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army PFC James Cabell Farley, Age 19 of Cookeville, TN.
KIA Nov. 20, 1967 Vietnam – Died while missing in action.
James began his tour August 3, 1967 as a Medical Corpsman.
He was assigned to 173rd Airborne Brigade, 2nd Battalion, 503rd infantry, Headquarters Company.
James is burried at Double Springs Cemetery, Putnam County, TN.
PFC Farley was awarded Purple Heart, National Defense, Vietnam Service, Vietnam Campaign Medals.
PFC Farley is honored on the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Washington DC. at Panel 30e, Line 41
We had an amazing walk today. The weather was perfect. We got to talk with several veteran along the way. I want to thank everyone that honked and waved in helping me honor this hero.
He will NOT be forgotten.
