Navy Veteran Kirk Alan Campbell , Age 27 of Wartburg, TN
Died May 5, 1996
Served in the late 80’s to early 90’s
He drowned in Watts Bar Lake
Kirk is Beried in the Woody Cemetery in Cumberland County, TN.
We had a great 4.47 Mile walk in Wartburg, Tennessee today. We first stopped in at the radio station WECO and my friend Robert got to be LIVE on the radio to tell them what we were doing their in Wartburg. We then walked out by the High School and then over to the cemetery where we visited 7 of our Fallen Heroes their. We then made our way back up town and had lunch and then ended our walk back at the radio station. I want to thank my friend Robert for walking with us today and I want to thank everyone who honked and waved in helping us honor this hero. I want to give a big thank you to Brad Byrd, Goose Lindsay, and Amber Moore at WECO Radio for helping us honor this hero today. We had 41 honks today. It was amazing. I want to thank Wartburg Tennessee for making us feel right at home today.
